Brother International Corporation is recruiting a Major Account Representative - SMB for the South Eastern US. This is a field based position. The ideal location for candidates is Orlando, FL. Major Account Representatives are responsible for accelerating the Brother Authorized Partner Program (BAPP) reseller (national VAR and regional/local resellers in the Brother partner program) hardware/supply deals and driving end-user sales and relationships in the states of FL and GA. The focal geographical areas of this position is Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Atlanta. We define SMB as companies of 20-499 employees and educational accounts of less than 10K students. Major Account Representatives are also responsible for expanding the categories within each account, these include: printers, all-in-one, copier, scanner, fax, labeler and MPS. They focus on a number of key verticals and most importantly, they understand the internal and external drivers that move and shape a customer's business needs to help them arrive at the best solutions. Our Major Account Representatives work closely with our channel partners to identify new business opportunities with end-users. You'll do a lot in this role. There's a strong emphasis on hunting new business, but we'll expect you to display a level of sales maturity and time management to manage existing accounts as well. You'll need to develop a business plan that incorporates vision, key drivers and business issues to exceed your yearly sales quota. We'll ask you to report and track your actual vs. projected sales results in units and dollars and your activity in our CRM. You'll work with our reseller partners and you'll develop long-term customer relationships by truly living our motto 'At Your Side'. This preferably includes exposure to printing, computer peripheries or office automation equipment. This includes forecasting, management of assigned resources, time management, and prioritizing accounts based on those with highest potential * You'll need to have and continuously develop strong product knowledge. We'll teach you the specifics of our portfolio, but a background in 'back office' and office automation are very desirable. * You'll need proficiency in technologies to include the MS Office suite. Having worked previously in a CRM system will be helpful. Some understanding of SAP is desirable as well. * Most importantly, you'll need a can-do attitude, you'll need to be courageous - always willing to knock on a new door, you'll need to be collaborative with your peers and cross-functional partners and you'll need to be willing to spend up to 80% of your time in the field in your assigned territory.
