Position Title: Early Intervention Specialist
Reports To: Statewide Respite Coordinator
This job description is effective from July 21, xxxx and will remain effective until revised by the Director of Contract Operations or the President.
Summary Description
This is a professional and exempt (not eligible for overtime) position that is responsible for oversight, coordination and supervision of the agencys statewide SNAP Programs as well as providing clinical support to all Network agencies. The position is responsible for ensuring that the SNAP funded programs comply with programmatic, administrative and fiscal requirements. The Early Intervention Specialist will also assist the Director of Contract Operations as needed, including addressing policy, planning and contracting services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following items are included in the essential duties and responsibilities for this position.
1. Will coordinate the start up and the statewide implementation of the SNAP program. This includes competitive procurement, the development of standardized components, reporting forms, invoices and preparing documents as required by the state contract.
2. Ensures that any applications, reports or related required documents in connection with the SNAP Programs are submitted in a manner that complies with procedures and timetables in accordance with rules, regulations and format established by the state contract.
3. Coordinates the planning, development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the SNAP contracts as required by the State contract.
4. Manages the statewide utilization of the SNAP programs.
5. Monitor program curriculum and fidelity.
6. Utilize data collection instruments to collect programmatic information and evaluation.
7. Provide clinical oversight and support to staff responsible for case management and therapeutic work with clients, including client-related case management decisions, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions as requested.
8. Coordinates evaluation and monitoring of the SNAP programs to ensure that the Network and local agency(ies) comply with programmatic, administrative, licensing, monitoring, compliance, and fiscal requirements of the contract.
9. Will serve as clinical specialist within the Network organization providing assistance with taking crisis calls and assisting parents and professionals, as well as train staff relevant to clinical issues.
10. Interacts with the Chief Financial Officer, Director of Information Management, Director of Program services, Director of Contract Operations and the President/CEO and local agencies, as required, to assess any proposed program changes, to develop program goals, budgetary needs, data and reporting requirements.
11. Maintains master files, including application, award notices, reports, and close out documents.
12. Provides training and technical assistance to member agencies, staff, and funding sources, as needed.
13. Serves as staff support to specific committees of the Network Board of Directors or agency membership.
14. The employee in this position may also be called upon to represent the Florida Network and its member agencies on various committees, task forces, state wide or regional meetings, etc.
15. Attend staff meetings.
16. Other duties as assigned.
