Job Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Shop or Service Manager the Industrial Forklift Mechanic Technician is responsible for performing: Periodic maintenance, repair, replacement and limited troubleshooting on various models of JCB, Yale and various other brands of lift and material handling equipment. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services Perform engine tune-ups on most makes of equipment without supervision Perform proper PMs in a timely manner Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system Able to repair, or replace major system components, including circuit boards and other electrical parts, hydraulic, mechanical, LP systems, power steering and transmissions, engines with limited supervision. Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose Conduct electrical diagnostics Be able to use all special tools properly. Maintain and properly use the normal tools of the trade. Operate service van in a clean, safe and secure manner following all required safety rules for the job Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts Driving is an essential function of this position and a valid current drivers license must be maintained at all times. Operate forklifts in accordance with all OSHA, state and federal requirements Perform other duties as required per management Territory includes: Jacksonville, Lake City and Tallahassee markets. Experience with brake systems, fuel systems, coolant systems, transmissions, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams, machining and truck tires preferred. Experience working on starters, batteries, fuel issues, hoses, harness, and more a plus. Any welding (MIG/TIG) experience is a plus, but not required. Must be proficient in completing all required paperwork needed to perform all job requirements.
