Overview:
WiredPeople is seeking a senior developer who is familiar with analyzing data, identifying data requirements that can be used to meet business needs, collating and summarizing data to make it meaningful, and presenting data in both graphical dashboard views as well as tabular representations. This is a senior technical position with a leader in IT consulting services in the Tallahassee market. This company has a solid reputation for delivering on-time, on-budget, and above expectations and this position will up-hold these values. This position has a technical leadership role within the company and for all company Business Intelligence projects. Individual is responsible for the soundness of selected solution, code developed, and quality of progressive software development deliverables. Optimum candidate must be a continual self-learner on new technologies and be able to mentor/coach others.
Duties:
The Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer will provide coordination and guidance in the analysis, design, development and support of complex Business Intelligence solutions with responsibilities to include:
Inventorying and categorizing data assets
Map business processes to data assets
Design and implement data mapping and cleansing processes to ensure source data is consistent and valid
Design and implement Extract-Transform-Load processes to make data available where it is needed
Design and implement data warehouses to provide summarized and potentially temporally optimized data in a performant fashion
Design and implement dashboards that include graphically summarized view, key performance indicators, and notifications when tolerances are exceeded
Design and implement reports that highlight data that can be used to both identify critical issues as well as inform sound business decision-making
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
5+ years of application development experience with VB.Net, C#.Net, and/or ASP.Net
Self-learner in new technology areas
Demonstrated knowledge of database design principles and best practices using recent versions of Microsoft SQL Server
Demonstrated experience in Crystal Reports, Logi Analystics, Microsoft's SQL Server Data Tools and Business Intelligence tools, or other reporting tools
Development experience in stored procedures, triggers, functions and packages
Ability to work independently while cooperating, coordinating, and mentoring the overall team
Ability to focus on priorities, and exhibit enthusiasm for creating high-quality software products
Developing applications that are accessibility and useable (508 compliance, User-Centered Design)
Business analysis techniques and experience gathering requirements
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in IT, MIS, or CS
