Oh my....there is a lot to say about Ms. Maclay, but where to begin! Maclay is an extremely intelligent cat and will need a very special person. Maclay came to us from an animal shelter where she had been surrendered by her owner. Upon entering the LCHS program , we have learned much about this big girl. Maclay is choosy about who she befriends, she enjoys the company of calm, laid back people, but gets irritated easily by someone whose energy is "rushed". She LOVES being pet and will sit with you for a long time being loved on and making biscuits, but only if you have earned her trust. Maclay guards her food so she would do best in a home where she is the only animal and this is not a concern. The ideal home for this girl would be one with few adults and no children in order to limit the noise and stress. If Maclay decides that she likes you, then you will have a wonderful companion who greets you at the door, and loves to be talked to and loved on, but you must pass her tests first.
