A Good Samaritan found this sweet, submissive older girl wandering aimlessly in the pouring rain; she couldn't pass the dog by, especially when she came near the car. It did take some doing to coax Marlee (the name the rescuer gave her) to get in, though. At least 5 cars passed by in the downpour, not one stopping to help even though this rescue attempt was taking place in a neighborhood! Once Marlee was scooped up and put in the car, it was noticed she was bleeding from a severe flea infestation. When no Bay County vet would take her in, Marlees rescuer then drove her an hour in the relentlessness rain to a vet in Chipley. There it was determined over the next few days of being boarded that she is spayed, heartworm negative and probably about 5-7 years old. She has now been wormed, bathed, vaccinated and microchipped; she is also on preventative and a flea control product. Then this one Good Samaritan found another Good...
